Child Safety Standards

Nibl has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. Here's what we prohibit, how to report it, and what we do about it.

Last updated:

These standards apply to Nibl, the home-cooking app and the niblapp.com website operated by [Company legal name] ("Nibl", "we", "us"). They are part of our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

Our policy

Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) is strictly prohibited on Nibl. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, real or generated.

You may not use Nibl to post, share, request or link to, or to help anyone else with:

  • child sexual abuse material, including drawn, edited or AI-generated images;
  • any content that sexualizes a minor, including photos, comments, profile details or usernames;
  • grooming: contacting or befriending a minor in order to sexually exploit or abuse them;
  • sextortion, or threatening to share intimate images of a minor;
  • trafficking of minors, or advertising or soliciting sexual activity with minors;
  • any other content or behavior that exploits, endangers or abuses children.

This applies everywhere on Nibl: dishes, photos, recipes, comments, profiles and tags.

Nibl is for ages 13 and up

You must be at least 13 years old to use Nibl, and people agree to this when they create an account. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email support@niblapp.com and we'll delete it.

How we prevent abuse

  • Photo checks before publishing. Every photo uploaded to Nibl is checked automatically for sexual content and other harmful content before anyone else can see it. Photos that fail the check are never shown to others and are deleted.
  • Text filters. Some offensive language is blocked automatically in comments, dishes, recipes and profiles.
  • No private messaging. Nibl has no direct messages. Comments are visible to whoever can see the dish or recipe they're on.
  • Private accounts and blocking. Anyone can make their account private, so only followers they approve can see their dishes and recipes, and anyone can block another person.

How to report

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Then report it to us in either of these ways:

In the app

  • A dish, recipe or profile: tap the ⋯ menu on it and choose Report.
  • A comment: press and hold the comment and choose Report.
  • Choose Puts a child at risk and add any details that will help us.

By email

Email support@niblapp.com with the subject "Child safety report". Include the username and, if you can, which dish, recipe or comment it is. Please don't send us copies of the images; describe where they are and we'll find them.

You can also report child sexual exploitation directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) at report.cybertip.org, or to your local law enforcement.

How we respond

We treat child safety reports as our highest priority. When we find content or behavior that breaks this policy, we:

  • remove the content from Nibl so no one can see it;
  • suspend the account and permanently ban the person responsible, along with any other accounts they use;
  • preserve the relevant information and report it to NCMEC and other relevant authorities, as required by law;
  • cooperate with law enforcement investigations, in line with the law and our Privacy Policy.

We review reports and act on them within 24 hours. We comply with applicable child safety laws, including reporting obligations in the United States.
